Ponds Flawless Radiance Cream

Slide13Update: Facial Skin Alert

An ethnic skincare stalwart gets a facelift. And, no, I’m not talking about a person!

Ponds’ highly successful Flawless radiance range is now hitting shelves in much chicer packaging. And very nice it is too!

The Flawless radiance range was launched to help women fight the battle against uneven skin tone. This is caused by an over and uneven production of melanin (the stuff that gives our skin colour). This can create ugly dark marks on the skin, and who wants that?

The Flawless Radiance range contains a specially formulated ingredient designed to work with your genes to decrease the production and dispersion of melanin. Leaving you with gorgeous, radiant skin.

Imagine my delight when I received a call from MemoryEvergreen Enterprise (the promoters of Toletta) that they had added a new brand to their portfolio. I was curious enough to visit their office to find out what the brand was.

Well it’s none other than the effective Ponds Flawless Radiance Cream which I blogged about some time ago. Read the excerpt from the interview here…

Today’s Naira: Yipeeeeeeeee….you guys finally nailed it. I have been in search for this brand all over Lagos and I have been thinking of asking my sister to buy on her upcoming trip to South Africa in a few days time.

MemoryEvergreen Enterprise: What’s the feedback about the brand? Bearing in mind that we strive to bring effective brands to the Nigerian consumers especially our female folks.

Today’s Naira: I commenced use of this product around July 2009. I had seen the advert on DSTV and it was purported to guarantee flawless skin within 7days. Based on the advert, I decided to try it out since I was heading to South Africa for a much needed vacation. At my first purchase which occurred at Pick ‘n’ Pay stores @ Sandton, I bought 3 sets (Day and Night cream) and while I was paying, the cashiers had asked why I was buying that much if I had never used it before?  I responded that I was willing to take the risk. As at then I had dark acne spots and an uneven skin tone which was also prone to pimples breakout especially during my monthly period (I mean my forehead was way darker than every other part on my face).

I also received the usual flak from my sisters who believed I was just wasting money and will not receive value for what I bought. Did I achieve flawless radiant skin within 7days? Absolutely not considering the state of my facial skin. It took me 2months to achieve a flawless radiant skin. Since then, I have had to send anyone travelling to South Africa to stock up this brand being manufactured by Unilever South Africa. The best thing about this brand is you get real value for money. My sisters have also adopted the brand and use it religiously. For the day and night cream cups, you’ll use it effectively for 4months before buying another set. Can you tell me of any other brand out there like Lancome, Elizabeth Arden, Mary Kay that”s effective without being expensive and delivers what it states on the pack?

MemoryEvergreen Enterprise: Wow that’s the longest consumer review I have ever read concerning a product targeted at females. I can understand your excitement. You’re completely right. Ponds Flawless Radiance is effective and works. It also has effective UVA/UVB sunscreen agents to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun.

Today’s Naira: So how can readers of this blog or any interested individual place an order?

MemoryEvergreen Enterprise: You can place an order by calling this number now: 08051198305/ +2347026364892 (for buyers outside Nigeria) or send an email to: tolettainquiries@hotmail.com

Am boy aged 18.I have trying many products to remove acne &dark sports on my face but none worked for me.what should i do to elimate this coz acne & dark spots have reduced my looks.PLEASE HELP ME.

    • Jan says:

Hello C.mpha, I really do not think you should be bothered about acne and dark spots. It’s a manifestation of your growth from a young boy to a young man. However, i’ll advise you start incorporating a cleansing and toning regime in your daily skincare routine. You can use Pears Transparent Soap to wash your face and neck. It’s effective for issues like this. Furthermore, stop touching and picking at every spot or pimple on your face.

This is what leads to dark spots. Try and ensure you see a registered and qualified demartologist who can recommend other effective products for you. I would have recommended Ponds Flawless Radiance cream but i’m not sure the creams constituents might be suitable for a young man until you have seen a dermatologist. Hope this answers your question.

i also had the same problem at your age i tried everything under the sun. Whats important is watch what you eat especially eggs and cheeze they are way too high in proteins and can cause bad skin so avoid eating them try to use mild products and dont pop you pimples cause that will leave marks and scars drink lots of water. Good luck

    Dear Sir / Madam
I would like to express my dissapointment in the way
pond’s have misguided the public with the Flawless radiant skin product, i have been a loyal Pond’s fan since i was 16 & now i’m 30, when the Flawless range was advertised i was so excited as i believed a solutioin to my problems has just been launched, i bought the entire range which i still buy to date to help reduce blemishes on my chicks but to my surprise the blemishes are still there, your advert advises that the blemishes will start to fade within 7 days which i belived but it clearly takes more that 5 months for the product to even start to work, i never had blemishes till earlythis year & started using the range the moment i saw it on TV but to my surprise still today the product doesn’t even help but it is a bit expensive, can you please advise a product that actually works to help clear blemishes.

    • Jan says:

      Dear Kelly,

I really don’t think PONDS has misguided users. I also had a problematic skin and PONDS has cleared all blemishes on my skin. Often times we’re impatient for a product to deliver on time but it does not work that way. I have had cause to speak with officials of this brand and also respective users. I also have visited their website. For people with blemish free skin, this product truly delivers within 7days but for people ith blemishes, it takes more than 7days to truly work. I used mine for 2months before i got results.

You also need to take into account the damage blemishes and acne can cause to the face. You’ll need more than 7days to clear up blemishes that have been on your face for more than a year. So, i’ll suggest you continue to use this brand or in the alternative, visit a dermatologist who’ll recommend a good facial cream for you.

    • Jan says:

Anna, please let us have your feedback once you start seeing any improvements cos i’m sure you will. I will pass your feedbacks to promoters of this brand. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Patience says:

I love ponds flawless. Although it took me more than 7 days to see change it is a good product. Unfortunately for me im in Zimbabwe and buying the product here is a bit pricy but anything for Ponds.

    • Jan says:

Dear Patience, i’m glad to know PONDS works for you. I’ll pass your product review to the promoters of this brand. Thanks for stopping by and hope to hear from you soon. I’d also suggest you join the facebook page to share your experience. Have a great week.

i was troubling with my face because of the blemishes, itching, rushes and spots and i was tempted to use epiderm cream which was being smuggled. At 1st it worked, and when i try to stop using the cream, the problem reappeared and this time on a big note. is it okay if i use ponds flawless for my problem? i do not want to use epiderm cream because i heard it will damage the skin

    • Jan says:

      Hello,

Based on your question, yes you can use PONDS Flawless range cos it’s safer for the face. However, do note you have a responsibility to consult a skin dermatology as well.

I got nothing negative to say about any pond’s products. I’m 19 and I’ve been using pond’s since the age of 15. I’m located in South Africa and all I’ve ever dreamed of is becoming a face of any pond’s product. That’s my personal email address and this is very serious to me. Please help me. Thank u

  7. col says:

Hi I’m 20 years old and for some reason I can’t seem to find the right skin products. My face used to be just as light as my neck but now it seems as if my face has become much darker than my neck and I don’t know what I should do. Can you please help me, what should I do and does using sun block darken the skin?

    • Jan says:

Hi Col, I’ll advise you visit a dermatology who’ll recommend the right creams or lotions that can resolve facial darkening. You also need to incorporate sunblock or sunscreen use on a daily basis. According to research conducted online, sunblock does not darken your face. It’s completely safe to use. If you live in a tropical country, I usually suggest SPF 50 but if you live in colder regions, SPF 15 is okay. However, you really need to see a dermatology.

  8. doris says:

Hi .I’m a girl 25.my skin has been me giving a lot of concern the spots on my face and my body . Want 2 kw if ponds has any products 4. My body 2 clear the spots u kw how embarrassing it could b u can’t change in d presence of ur friends n u can’t wear what u want 2.

    • Jan says:

      Hello Doris,

For your face, I’d definitely recommend Ponds Flawless Radiance day & night creams. It’s effective in removing & clearing black spots with consistent & continuos application. You also have to exfoliate your facial skin once a week with St. Ives Exfoliating facial scrub & use a non alcoholic toner like Neutrogena.

For your body, I suggest original Shea Butter or Coconut oil. You’d be amazed at how the spots & marks you’ve got on your body will fade away.

Hello Funke, the answer is a positive yes. You can definitely give Ponds Flawless a trial. It’s effective and delivers on it’s promise of flawless facial skin. A pack is sold for N2,500 and lasts for 4months. I’ll suggest you place your order via: tolettaenquiries@hotmail.com

      • Funke says:

Plz is ponds flawless radaince cream same as d control vanishing cream? Or they are two different products? Also I might be needing the facial bar for oily skin, what’s d price for †ha† as well.
        Thankx for respondin in time.

  11. Jan says:

Hello Funke, just spoke with the promoters of this brand and i’m told that the facial bar is not available for now. Remember that products suitable for the tropics is what’s currently manufactured in South Africa.

  12. melissa says:

Hi, for some reason I’ve had pimples popping in my face since about january this year. I feel so depressed as I’m so conscious about the marks in my face, I feel like I just want to lock myself up and hide away from the rest of the world until my skin clears up. I’m 22 years old and I’ve never had problem skin(apart from the occasional pimples which would leave dark marks but would eventually fade). Most of the pimples in my face have disappeared but have left ugly dark marks. I’ve tried the ponds face wash and the face lotion(as recommended by the ponds lady at the store) she said she used the product herself and saw results after 3 months(my initial thought was am I going to be stuck with these marks for another 3 more months?!!!!…) I haven’t really seen any major results but am still continuing with the product. My grandmother recommended I use lemon on my face to get rid of the dark marks. I want to know if using the lemon as a toner at night(and still using the ponds range) will damage my skin further or is this an option? I am extremely desperate (at this point I’d try anything)
I’d appreciate if you could offer some advice.

    • Jan says:

      Hi Melissa,

I’d request you consult a dermatology at this point rather than seek countless remedies that may or may not work. Far often we assume that what works for A can also work for B. However our skin type is different and reacts to different facial cream or lotions. So please, go and see a dermatology. Don’t postpone!!! Do it NOW!!!

  16. Cee says:

I am 23 years old and I started using the ponds flawless radiance range ( day cream, night cream and face wash) and it did nothing at all for me. I had initially bought the lotion but found it dried my skin way too much so I got the day cream instead and used the range for about 4 months. The blemishes I wanted to get rid of have not faded at all and my close friends and family actually say that I have gone darker. This is the reason why I have stopped using the range. I’m very disappointed in the results because I really trusted ponds and thought it would work wonders for me. I’m still on the hunt for a reasonably priced product that will give me the clear radiant skin that I used to have.

    Hello.
i am 30 years old. my face was clean and clear before but after giving birth to my child who is 23 months old i observed small brown spots on my face and also in my hands. please advice me what face wash, moisturizor, night cream should i use. and also advice a good dermatalogist in india at mumbai city.

    • Jan says:

Hi Shakila, since I do not reside in Mumbai, it’ll be difficult to recommend the services of a dermatology to you. Why not ask at your local clinic instead? They usually know.

  18. innocentia says:

    Hello,
Am impressed with what you are doing on your blog, good job.
I live in lagos and am interested in the ponds flawless radiance product,I hope it will work for my acnes and spots. How can I buy and get it?
Will also love to be a distributor,I have a good PR to market such product and also given my existing network. However,I will really love to use a product and be sure of the result so I can “guarantee”(very important strategy to my network) my people confidently.
    Thanks.
    Moji.

    • Jan says:

Hi Moji, thank you for your kind word. Please get in touch with promoters of the brand by calling the following number to place your order (07026364892).

  23. Kansola says:

Please I need help my face is oily on d T-zone….nd also I want to strt using ponds body cream cos av heard it does wonda to d skin,so pls wich pond products would u recommend nd also how/whre I can purchase them. Thanks

    • Jan says:

      Hello Kansola,

I usually recommend you start exfoliating once a week and the product to use is St. Ives Facial Scrub which is quite good. Then you can commence use of Ponds Day and Night Cream by calling the following number to place your order (07026364892).

I find it a bit hard to recommend good body cream as each individual skin is different. I’d suggest you establish a routine of taking daily vitamins meant for hair, skin and nails such as GNC Nourish..you see the difference over time.

      • Kansola says:

Plz can I get d GNC multi vitamin @ a drug store?and op it’s nut one of dose multivitamin dat allows one eat all d tym.ℓ☺ℓ …cos am robust alrdy.
Tanx for ur quick response always.

        Regards

  24. Cindy says:

I have a very sensitive/dry skin. I have recently discovered that I have small fine pimples on my face. I don’t know if it is if I use make up (which I hardly wear)but If I wear I dont wash my face off and whether that is the case. I also dont use a sunscreen? Will ponds flawless radiance work for my skin? I have been trying many things before it either itches my skin or my skin burn. So I would really just like something that will help..I have a little bit of uneven tone – but that is not my biggest concern – the pimples are.

  25. thando says:

hi i have dark spot on my face,i have used garnier to remove them but it not working.can u recommend something else to you

    • Jan says:

      Hello Thando,

Which Garnier product did you use so I can advise further? Do you have an oily skin or dry skin cos if you use products meant for oily skin, it’s unlikely you see results.

    • Jan says:

      Hi Ugomma,

I didn’t see your comments on time as they landed in the spam folder. It’s basically meant for the face though some ladies actually use it for their body as well.

  26. zandile says:

i startes using ponds flawless product on the 1st of this month,it caused lot of pimples,I dont know if its trying to remove all the products I’ve been using in the past or wht. What can you say,do i need to continue or i must stop?
